My Blogging Goals Of 2015

Blogging Goals! This is a question that I have asked myself many times and never been able to pin it down to a specific topic.I spend a lot of time in the IT space due to the nature of my work, but have not found traction in that segment. It is now time to re-align my focus.

So what are my goals for the remainder of 2015? Thanks to some of my readers that question has already been answered for me. One reader in particular is https://loveanagirl.wordpress.com/ , without her motivation, my first goal would have died a silent death.

Goal One:

Develop a series of posts about the IT industry. The focus of the series will explain various IT concepts in a language understood by non IT people. This is a series that has been on my mind for some time. It is now time stop thinking about it and make it a reality.

Goal Two:

Increasing my reader base is my second goal for 2015. I want to grow my reader base to a level where I can start making money on my site. Admittedly, I have a long way to go before that becomes a reality.

Goal Three:

To post articles more consistently. I need to allocate time every day to write, otherwise I fall back into old habits and put it off indefinitely.

Each blogging goal is dependant on the success of the other. The remainder of 2015 will be busy, and I am looking forward to the challenge. Publishing my goals has forced me to move forward and do something to achieve them.

Hello Ryan. This post was amazing. I can appreciate the honesty in it. Also how passionate you are about your field of expertise. In my opinion being passionate and knowledgeable is all you need to succeed. If you don’t mind I would love to write a post about your blog on my page. Please contact me via email to bounce ideas or I can copy and paste one of your post. In reagrds to more traffic I would suggest retaking the blogging 101 class a couple of times. I have more to share just send a message.

Hello Loveanagirl, I like the idea about writing a post on your blog. Let me put one together and I will email it to you. You can then decide if you want to publish it. I will create a page on my site and post your article there and create a link back to your site from the article.

Thank you for your advice. I appreciate the fact that it was done so gently. Quantifying my goals makes a lot of sense (so why did I not think of that 🙂 ) I will also re-visit my theme to make my name more prominent.

As for asking you to shut up! That will never happen. Please feel free to come back and give me your critique any day.

Ryan: Did you start a new unique blog for “201”? I like that you actually posted your goals and the visual of the speedometer is most appropriate. If I may, and I hope I’m not overstepping my boundaries, it might be helpful to quantify your goals so you can easily measure them. An example would be “Develop 2 IT posts a month…” That way you know that you’ve hit your target. Also, your name should feature more prominently on your blog header. After all – you are your brand!
PS – tell me to shut up if I’m being to forward.
